I am dedicated to helping people discover the deep sense of peace that can be achieved when the body and mind are allowed to fully let go and relax.

Of course, letting go and relaxing are often more easily said than done! Sometimes a little help is needed, and this is why I created Joyful Lotus.

I offer several complementary modalities that are designed to promote a state of deep relaxation through all levels of your being. Relaxation creates space, so that everything that needs to flow, can flow. Thoughts, feelings, breath, energy... all flowing, working together to help you along your path...

about Laurel Wilson

As a graduate of the Physical and Health Education degree program at Queen's University, I bring a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics to my work, as well as deep respect, kindness and compassion. I enjoy creating a safe and beautiful environment for students and clients alike, and there is a gentle meditative aspect that permeates my bodywork.

Having practiced Ayurvedic bodywork and massage since 2012, my training was completed through the Lotus Palm Massage School, and the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. In 2016 I earned my certification in Aromatherapy. Additional foundational studies in Ayurveda have come from these sources, as well as from Janati Yoga School, and personal research.

I am also an Experienced, Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with the Yoga Alliance, completing my 200 hour level training with Janati in 2009, and my 500 hour certification in 2014.
